Professor
I received my Ph.D. in Social and Cultural Anthropology from the University of Strasbourg, France in 1996. I also hold an M.A. in Arabic and Islamic Studies from the University of Strasbourg and a B.A. in French as a Foreign Language from the University of Besançon, France.
My academic background and teaching experience include Arabic, French Language and Francophone Cultures and Literatures, Linguistics, Cultural Anthropology, Women Cross-Culturally, Culture and Society in the West, Middle Eastern History, and MENA (Middle East and North Africa) Cinema. Prior to my current position at LaGuardia, I taught in France, Hungary, Egypt, and in several colleges and universities in New York.
